2026 Types of Summer Programming
Toledo Met offers several categories of summer programming. There are weekly intensives and weekly camps, clinics and trainings. In addition, all classes are open to drop ins. Drop in pricing is listed next to each class eligible for drop in attendance.
Weekly Schedule - All Toledo Met summer program runs in weekly increments. We have found that this schedule offers families the flexiblity they need to avoid paying for multi-week summer sessions that interfere with vacations or other summer time commitments.
- What's an Intensive? An Intensive is a week long, rigorous performing arts program taught be a highly skilled, professional guest teacher.
- What's a Camp/Clinic? A camp or clinic is a weekly program that is themed and is taught by a combination of Toledo Met faculty members.
- What's a Training Week? A "training week" is a series of classes scheduled in the same week and are specially designed for a specific level of dancer. Training weeks are taught by a combination of Toledo Met faculty members. Training weeks allow dancers to purchase a " class package" and is less expensive than purchasing the classes a la carte.
- Drop In Classes - Each week there are several late afternoon or evening classes that can be purchased individually for the "drop in" price. When dropping in to a class, just show up. There is not need to let us know you are coming.
- Volume Discounts Available - Students who register in more than one Intensive or more than one Camp/Clinic/Training Week are eligible for discount pricing. The most popluar camp/clinic of our summer is back! Dancers will be split according to age and skill level and experience a daily ballet class and learn choreography from Toledo Met's Nutcracker. Get ahead on this year's audition and join us for this extremely popular camp/clinic!
NEW - Ballet Alignment Clinic

The focus of this clinic will be on developing proper alignment, strengthening sound technical habits, and reinforcing correct movement patterns. After observing many dancers this summer, Miss Lauren identified several common technical habits that have developed over time. This clinic is designed to help dancers retrain those movement patterns, build more efficient muscle memory, and establish a stronger technical foundation for continued growth. . his specialized training opportunity will provide dancers with focused, detail-oriented instruction that will support their progress not only in ballet, but across all areas of their dance training. Each day will begin with class and move into technical instruction.

Dancers in levels 2-4+ will be split by level and complete a daily PBT warm up, level appropriate pre-pointe or pointe class and classical variations class.
Broadway Babies
Monday - Thursday, 9:30 -11:30 am, Ages 3-6, Cost $120.00

Students will complete a daily and developmentally appropriate dance class that focuses on tap and ballet; singing class and preschool tumbling class with a daily story time, craft and snack. Students will be grouped by age and level.

This clinic is for dancers in Level 1-3 of jazz. Dancers will be split by level and complete a daily jazz technique class and jazz choreography class. Dancers must be able to sustain attention and focus for two back-to-back jazz classes each day.
Classical and Contemporary Technique for the Advanced Competitive Dancer

This clinic is for dancers in advanced levels of jazz or ballet and/or competition dance who are looking to improve technique during competition solos and group dances. Dancers will complete a daily classical or contemporary technique class and then focus on jumps and turns that will take their competition performances to the next level.

This clinic is for dancers who perform or compete at the advanced level and wish to improve and sharpen their technical jazz skills. Dancers will complete a daily jazz technique class and choreography class.
