Nutcracker 2026 Auditions


Advanced Dancer Auditions will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:30 - 3:30 pm and are open to non-Toledo Met dancers.  Must be proficient en pointe in center.


Beginner and Intermediate Dancer Auditions (ages 5+) will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 frm 1:30 - 4:30 pm.  This audition is also open to non-Toledo Met dancers.


Audition sign ups will be available July 15, 2026.


Rehearsals for Intermediate and Beginner dancers will be held on Saturday afternoons beginning September 5, 2026.  Rehearsals for advanced dancers will be held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:00 - 9:00 pm and on Saturday afternoons.  Call schedules for rehearsals are determined on a weekly basis.  Not all dancers are called for every rehearsal. 


Shows will be held Friday, December 4 (school show); Saturday December 5, 1:30 pm; Sunday December 6, 1:30 pm and Saturday, December 13, 2026, 1:30 pm.

Fall 2026 Junior Musical


Elf Jr. The Musical

Toledo Met is excited to present Elf Jr. as our Fall 2026 Musical Theatre Production! Join us for this heartwarming holiday musical filled with unforgettable songs, hilarious characters, and plenty of holiday spirit.

Casting Information

Casting opportunities are available for performers ages 5–15.

Core Cast (Ages 8–15)

All performers ages 8–15 will be considered for the Core Cast, including principal, featured, and ensemble roles.

Required Rehearsal Class

  • Fridays: 4:30–6:30 PM
  • Sundays: 2:30–4:30 PM

Principal cast members may also be called for select Saturday rehearsals from 2:00–4:00 PM as needed. These rehearsals will be coordinated around the Toledo Met Nutcracker rehearsal schedule whenever possible.


Young Actors Cast (Ages 5–7)

Our Young Actors Cast is designed specifically for our youngest performers, providing a fun and supportive introduction to musical theatre performance.

Required Rehearsal Class

  • Saturdays with Miss Allison

Class-Based Production

Elf Jr. is presented as a class-style production, meaning all cast members must be enrolled in the appropriate rehearsal class throughout the semester.

  • Ages 8–15: Elf Jr. Core Cast Class
  • Ages 5–7: Elf Jr. Young Actors Class

These weekly classes serve as both rehearsal and performance preparation, allowing students to develop their acting, singing, and stage performance skills while preparing for the production.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition

  • Tuition follows the Toledo Met tuition schedule.
  • All tuition is eligible for applicable family and volume discounts.
  • Core Cast Class: Billed as a 4-hour per week class.
  • Young Actors Class: Billed as a 1-hour per week class.

Production Fee

$100 per cast member

The production fee covers:

  • Additional Tech Week rehearsals
  • Theatre rental
  • Wireless microphone rental
  • Production-related expenses

Costume Fee

$50 per cast member
Due:
October 15, 2026

All costumes are rented. This fee covers both costume rental and professional cleaning following the performances.

High Quality Student Cast Performances

Toledo Met is committed to providing high quality performance opportunities to students as young as 3 years old.  Productions are staged at the Franciscan Center of Lourdes University with state of the art technical support and topnotch theatrical enhancements including beautiful scenery and costumes.  It is the mission of Toledo Met to provide students with high quality experiences in order to facilitate interpersonal growth applicable to successful endeavors both inside their chosen genre of performing arts and beyond.
